How we choose who we work with.
Preascent's sustainability practice is not limited to the advice we give clients. It extends to how we run our own operations — including how we select the suppliers, tools, and partners that support our work. This policy sets out the principles we apply when making procurement decisions.
We hold our supply chain to the same standards we recommend to clients.
Where choices are available, we prefer suppliers and service providers that demonstrably reduce environmental impact — through renewable energy use, carbon offsetting, waste reduction, or certified environmental management standards. We give preference to cloud infrastructure providers with published net-zero commitments.
We will not knowingly procure goods or services from suppliers that use forced or child labour, that deny workers the right to organise, or that operate in persistent violation of applicable labour law. Where supply chain visibility is limited, we require suppliers to self-certify compliance with these standards.
We actively seek to work with locally-based suppliers and with businesses owned by underrepresented groups where quality and cost are comparable. We believe that economic inclusion is part of responsible business practice.
This policy is reviewed annually. Supplier relationships are assessed against these principles at onboarding and periodically thereafter. Questions or concerns about our procurement practices can be directed to hello@preascent.com.
We welcome partnerships with organisations that share these values.
